 About Me
Marjorie R. Asturias writes out of her home office in Dallas, Texas. Originally from Manila, Philippines, she's lived in three countries, six cities and three states, but who's counting?
She's written for various on- and offline publications, including Running Times, Audrey, Bitch, DiningOut Dallas, Weddings in Houston, and VeggieHeadOnline.com. She also wrote a weekly column for the Grand Junction Free Press from 2006 to 2009, writing on everything from politics to feminism to activism to what she ate for dinner last Tuesday. She's written dozens of advertorials and other advertising copy for numerous businesses and nonprofits and has created publicity materials for special events. Marjorie has also worked as a full-time grants director for a private women's college and has written and edited several grant proposals.
Her biggest dream is to write the next Great American Novel. Or at least the next Great Filipino-American Novel. And maybe land a spot on Oprah. That's all. She doesn't really ask for much.
